StarMonkey asked:

I’ve been with the company for about 3 years. The first two years, I received a salary increase on my anniversary date. I just got promoted (which included another increase) 2 1/2 years in. So should I still receive an increase for my yearly performance, or do most companies count the “promotion” as my increase, and not give one again on the anniversary?

Audrey B asked:

I’d like to re-sign up for the online version of weight watchers. When signing up, it asks for a promotion code. How do I get one? I can’t seem to find one online. Do I have to go to a meeting to get one or something of that nature?

David M asked:

I ask because I was approached by my manager for a promotion. I am not the easiest person to work with. I don’t gossip, I keep to myself, I don’t get too personal with my coworkers, and I am infamous for giving the “evil eye” to anyone to behaves badly. On the other hand I am obsessive about being polite, I am more productive and disiplined than most of my coworkers, I am good with customers, and I don’t steal.

This position, if I should accept it, is at another location. Am I being sent away? Or am I overthinking it?

When is a promotion not a promotion?
